Helping businesses like yours

Many businesses just like yours have used an energy broker to find a suitable gas and electric supplier. Nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately, some brokers have been adding excessive commissions to the price that you end up paying.

1p per unit is not unusual. Sometimes it can be 2p ,3p or even 4p.

This might not sound like much, but it soon adds up.

Imagine you own a mid-sized restaurant.

A broker recommends a new contract for you.

You use 300,000 kWh (Units) of gas and 100,000 kWh (Units) of electricity.

1p on the gas is £3,000 per year, so if it’s a 5 year contract that’s £15,000.

2p on the electric is another £2,000 per year, another 5 year contract, another £10,000 for the broker.

That’s £25,000

Energy brokers are legally required to declare the commission (money) they will receive for recommending a supplier to the buyer, but in our experience almost none of them do.

There has been a significant increase in the number of businesses claiming what they are owed, as a result of being mis-sold an energy contract. In these instances, the broker’s commission was not declared.

If you think your business has been mis-sold a business energy contract, then you may be entitled to compensation.
